Developers cite the rail timeline, with service slated to begin in late 2028, as the trigger for the increase.
One project already under construction at 1425 Genesee Street will deliver 168 apartments priced from $1,450 for a one-bedroom unit. Another 92-unit building at the corner of Union and William is scheduled to break ground next spring once final NFTA easements are recorded.
